creepy and romantic
There’s something about the song Sometime Around Midnight by Airborne Toxic Event that makes me want to stalk an ex-girlfriend. Really. It makes it seem noble or romantic somehow. I want to watch them through a window and masturbate. Not at their house … somewhere like a Starbucks when she is having a latte.
If you’re creepy and no one knows it doesn’t count. If she and everyone you know doesn’t see it or read about it later it just isn’t sincere and ruins the whole thing.
I think it’s the line “you can see her lying naked in your arms” that does it. It’s the word naked. You can see someone without clothes but they aren’t naked. Naked is something that is shared. It was offered and it makes you crazy when it’s over.
Anyone who reads my blogs knows I’m hung up on looks and totally superficial which is odd since physically I myself am a mess. Honestly I can never understand how anyone truly gets over a beautiful girl after she has been ‘naked in your arms’. Deep down, as horrible as I feel about it, I wonder if ugly girls ever get naked in the eyes of their lovers or if the removal of clothing is some per functionary requirement for intercourse. Maybe ugly guys can see the beauty in them … only they can understand and it’s even more intense and memorable because of the girl’s flaws.
I hope so.
One time I’d like to see the video for a song like Sometime Around Midnight and have the girl be a fat slob with acne and then see the guy dying inside remembering her.
It would make the line “you just have to see her … you know that she’ll break you in two …” make more sense.
