how to fill a McEmpty life
(originally posted 8/13/2018)
So I did a little experiment at McDonalds today. They stop serving the full breakfast menu at 11. I went in at 11:01 asking for scrambled eggs. They said scrambled eggs were no longer available. I pleaded with them, saying I’d only missed the cut off by ONE minute. Certainly they could bend the rules and give me scrambled eggs at 11:01. They acquiesced and took my order.
What they didn’t know was that I had 1,200 friends waiting outside, each one coming in exactly one minute after the other, each one asking for scrambled eggs and each one saying it was only ONE minute after the last order of eggs was prepared.
I was able to keep them preparing scrambled eggs until they closed that night.
What did I learn?
That the same people that would find this story remotely amusing are also the people who wouldn’t know what the word ‘acquiesced’ means.
