meanwhile in the big city…
Rich men scurry around, pretending that money does not buy happiness. Because that’s the climate we live in.
But everyone knows the truth.
In the end, money never has to worry about if these fervent believers will ever put anything before the pursuit of it.
And coveting? You bet your ass that these men covet. It’s their fuel. It’s the creeping fear that someone somewhere has more than they do. It’s there all day, every day.
And at the end of those days it’s all about the final tally. The ol’ bottom line.
More things.
More toys.
Visions of excess.
Say it out loud.
Walk the walk and talk the talk and allow the avarice so sweep over you like a warm blanket. Comfort you and motivate you. Don the ravenous mask until it is no longer a mask.
Steal. Cheat. Lie. The ends justify the means if it means more cash.
The rules are there are no rules. Rules are for the naïve. The oblivious. The willfully ignorant.
Every morning these zealots of which I speak of hear a starter’s pistol and they spring from the expensive beds and get back to work. Amassing. Creating losers. Collateral damage. If they’re not ten minutes early they’re twenty minutes late.
Begging. Borrowing. Whatever it takes.
There’s a sucker born every minute and two to take them. Be the one that takes them and then the one who takes the takers.
Be inspired. Be a machine. A taking machine.
You can kill, just don’t get caught. Respect the law, just be above it.
Everyone knows the truth.
The real truth.
Say it out loud.
Sing it.
Embrace it before it’s too late.
Can I get an amen?
like it, share it!
