systemic stupidity

(originally posted 8/8/2020)

Systemic is a word you’re hearing a lot these days. Mostly because it’s an impressive word. It makes the people saying it feel like they are smarter than they are.

Systemic – something that is spread throughout, affecting a group or system, such as a body, economy, market or society as a whole.

Feel free to stop and use it in a sentence if you need a quick boost of self-esteem.

The word following it in most cases is ‘racism’.

Systemic Racism –something that is blamed when a bunch of dipshits decide to start looting and burning stuff down.

There’s no such thing. It’s a myth. In the case of people burning stuff down, they are just our society’s losers. The angry and unhappy. To try and blame it on skin color or sexual orientation or any of the other almost-infinite things that make us different is just dipshittedness.

Do you have any idea how many things can be blamed for an individual’s lack of success?

Do you have idea how hard it is for blind people in this society? Anyone can see, that can see anyway, that everything is built for people who can see! And you don’t see blind people rioting do you?

And if you did, they certainly couldn’t.

And height. There has been study after study showing that the taller you are, the greater advantages you enjoy in our society. And you don’t see midgets rioting do you?

Although, you have to admit… it would be hysterical.

“Sergeant. The midgets have looted the Piggly Wiggly!”

“How do you know it was them?”

“Everything on the top two shelves is untouched.”

“Yep… that’s midgets alright.”

Ugly people have always had it rough. Maybe the roughest. Ugly people, whatever color they are or however they identify, are at the bottom of the food chain in our society and yet nobody says a word about it.

If they rioted you know the newscasters couldn’t wait to say “It’s really getting ugly out there.”

Fat people! You can’t throw a rock without hitting a fat person these days. Like the ugly. they are wildly under-represented in TV shows, movies, pop music, fashion shows and Fortune 500 boardrooms, but nobody says a word. Nobody cares or fights for their ‘rights’.

And believe me, if you want to see a Piggly Wiggly looted properly… send in the fat people.

It’s just black skin that we need to worry about right?… despite the fact that blacks in the US have never been more prosperous or enjoyed more advantages than they do today.

I can hear you saying to yourself “But wait Manion! Some people don’t like them because of the color of their skin. They don’t give them the same opportunities.”

No shit.

But when was the last time you saw a college give preferential admission treatment to an ugly person or a fat person or a midget? Add skin color to the laundry list of reasons why some people don’t like other people. The witty vs. the dull. The people with a full head of hair vs. the bald. Good singers vs. people who can’t carry a tune. Healthy vs. handicapped. Type A people vs. the lazy.

Don’t get me started on ageism in this country. Do you really want to see a riot made up of only people over the age of 80? Do you know how many hips would get broken?

“Sergeant. It’s the Piggly Wiggly again! The old folks have looted it!”

“How do you know it was them?”

“The only thing taken was Metamucil and all of the hard candies.”

At the end of the day, you shouldn’t ask yourself why people loot stores. You should wonder why everyone doesn’t always do it. Obviously there will never be enough police to control crowds if everyone decided to just go to the mall and take stuff.

So why don’t we? Why do we pay for things in the first place?

Because it works best for everyone. It’s what separates us, black & white & tall & short & ugly & handsome & fat & skinny, from Third World countries. The key word being US. What we’ve all agreed upon, our culture, has created more prosperity and happiness than any other civilization in the history of the world. It works.

You get educated. You contribute. You roll the dice and hope for the best. You pay for things and then you hope that the losers that make up Antifa get run over by cars driven by fat ugly midgets.

I mean, they can barely see over the dashboard.

(If you don’t take a moment to visualize each of the various groups mentioned rioting and looting than you’re really missing out. A handicap riot? Are you kidding me? I could picture that all day. The parking would be a nightmare.)
